You will also get a slimmer waist since getting rid of the flat in the obliques also means getting rid of the side fats. When you strengthen the obliques, you also burn more fat on the side of the belly. We’ll do standing core exercises and a series of weight-bearing exercises that require you to squeeze that core a lot. We’ll also do ab exercises on the mat that specifically target the obliques, this helps shape them further.
